From January 2005, Marianne Volonté Rüeger, lawyer, is a new partner in the Lugano offices.

With this last association the firm reinforces its presence in Switzerland, offering tax assistance and support in financial laws and regulations to financial intermediaries.


> A new office in Bologna - March 2004
From March 2004 Tax Law Firm Fantozzi & Associati opened a new office also in Bologna, Via Farini n. 10 (051/27771).

The new office is part of the strategy aimed to develop the array of services to the Firm's Clients which it has followed in such years through the opening of new offices, in addition to the Rome office, in particular in Milan (2000), Lugano (2003) and now Bologna.

The professional activity to be perfomed through the new office shall be deeply focused on the advice on tax and corporate law issues; in particular, with reference to the tax services, the services will mainly regard the tax advice on extraordinary issues, the rendering of tax opinions and the representation of Clients before tax courts at all litigation stages.  


> New professionals at the Milan office - February 2004
In January and February 2004 two new professionals joined the Milan office of the tax Law Firm Fantozzi & Associati. 

Francesco Pedrotti, aged 35, tax advisor, who formerly worked for Professionisti Associati, a tax law firm that belongs to the international Deloitte & Touche network, and with Studio Tributario Associato Facchini-Rossi-Scarioni.  
His professional backgroun has primarily focused on issues concerning the taxation of business income and corporate reorganisations.
He is a part-time lecturer at the Scuola Superiore dell'Economia e delle Finanze, the training unit of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and is author of a book on the tax and legal aspects of share per share exchanges, ''Gli scambi di partecipazioni sociali'', published in 2004 by Giuffrè.

Giacomo Casale, aged 28, who graduated in Law in 1999, obtaining a Master's degree in Tax Law organised by ''Il Sole 24 Ore'' (''Master in Diritto e Pratica Tributaria''), and was formerly with Studio Legale e Tributario, Ernst & Young associate.

The new professionals further strengthen the structure of firm's Milan office, which is specifically focused on providing tax advice in relation to group reorganisations, M&As and financial transactions.


> MIPIM 2004 – The International Property Market - March 2004
The Tax Law Firm Fantozzi & Associati will attend MIPIM (the International Property Market Conference) - to be held in Cannes from March 9 to March 12 - to meet leading clients and investors in the real estate market.
The firm provides assistence with planning and implementation of the following real estate transactions:
-acquisitions and dispositions of shares, businesses and segments of real estate activities
-set-up of Italian real estate funds
-reorganisation
of the corporate and financial structures of group aimed at concentrating real estate in an SPV  trough mergers, de-mergers, contribution of real estate assets and other transactions.

> A new partner admission in the Milan office - June 2003
From June 2003 a new partner Alfredo Fossati joined the Milan office of Fantozzi & Associati.
Fossati, 44 years-old, graduated in economics, since 1997 was a partner of the Studio di Consulenza Legale e Tributaria - Andersen Legal, in which he was the partner in charge of the Treviso office of the firm.
Through his professional experience as tax advisor on M & A, group reorganizations, domestic and international tax planning for medium and large clients and private equity funds, the Milan office has been strengthened its ability to provide transactional tax services.

> International Tax Review Annual Survey - June 2003
In its June 2003 issue International Tax Review published the results of its annual survey of the best European tax advisors and of the trends of the needs for tax services. The survey was conducted through questionnaires sent to in-house tax experts and CFOs at the world's leading international corporations and financial institutions.
According to the 752 replies regarding Italy, Fantozzi & Associati is ranked among the highly recommended tax firms in the area of Indirect Taxes, Tax Planning and M & A.


> Integration with Greco & Associati Lugano (CH) - July 2003
In July 2003 Fantozzi & Associati realised its integration with the tax firm Greco & Associati opening its new offices in Lugano.
According to the firm's strategy aimed at expanding the range of tax services to banking institutions, the new Lugano office will serve domestic and international banks and financial intermediaries through the expertise of Greco & Associati, a firm which is already active in the tax assistance to private banking sectors of Swiss banks.
A new partner of Fantozzi & Associati is Edward F. Greco, a 34 years-old lawyer, with a background as in house tax advisor for UBS Private Banking. He is specialised in the international tax issues of financial transactions and is presently the Director of the tax department of the ''Centro di Studi Bancari'' in Vezia, Switzerland.
